A: Assisted Living Communities offer 24-hour, non-medical care to individuals and couples. Put simply, we help those that cannot live independently, but who are not ready for skilled nursing.
A: We offer 24-hour monitoring and assistance with daily needs such as those listed in our Services section, however this is not an exhaustive list. We may be able to assist with specific needs not shown. Please contact us to inquire about needs not listed.
A: Generally speaking, all residents must be able to participate in all activities of daily living (i.e. dressing, eating, grooming, etc). Participation can vary per resident.
A: Yes, Hometown Manor does offer respite stays at a simple daily rate. Respite care is for rehab residents or for families who serve as a caregiver and are in need of a time of rest.
A: Medical providers, such as home-health groups, can perform services such as Physical, Occupational or other therapies within Hometown Manor, however they are not provided directly by Hometown Manor or our staff.
A: While some assisted living communities offer services based on an a-la-carte menu, Hometown Manor offers all services for one simple, affordable rate. Services include those listed here.
A: No, Hometown Manor does not charge based on the resident’s specific care needs. We are able to provide adequate care without charging extra because of our intimate size. This is not the case at all assisted living communities so please be sure to understand all possible short and long-term charges before making a decision (i.e. levels-of-care and a-la-cart services such as meals and bathing).
A: Assisted Living is private pay. Medicare and Medicaid will not pay for assisted living because of our non-medical nature. Assistance may be available through the VA, long-term care insurance or other options. Please contact us to inquire further.
A: We offer a home-like atmosphere at an affordable rate.
* Home-like Atmosphere: We offer a small setting that features family-style dining and cozy common areas, allowing residents to relax and socialize within an inviting space that feels like home.
* Affordability: Our communities are owner-operated so we have less overhead and therefore can pass savings on to our residents. As a result, our rates are amongst the lowest available.
